I cannot express how much i ADORE this. No seriously. Just look at it!
I’m in love with her expression and the easy flow of the lines. I’m in absolute love with the complementary and soft colour palette. I’m in love with the background and the way the leaves and trees are painted. I’m in love with the fact that she’s wearing her Magister dress. I’m in love with the overall feeling of the pic. I’m in love with the detail of white light on the skin and clothes. And of course I’m in love with the baby griffon because that’s the most adorable thing ever.
Thank you so so so much! I am beyond delighted! You shouldn’t have bothered so much ;_; but at the same time THANK YOU because I cannot stop staring at it in a state of absolute bliss.

I have finals in a month and tons of essays to hand in so I’ll stay out of tumblr as much as I can!

They gave us lots of materials to draw whatever we wanted. Artgasmic!

This was an illustration I did for a contest in my University. The results have been announced and I haven’t won (I’m not surprised), so now I’m allowed to post it! I really liked doing it despite finishing it in a rush and at the last moment (not surprising again).
The theme was the Diada de Sant Jordi, for the patron saint of Barcelona is Saint George and there’s a huge celebration every year on April 23th. The streets get crowded with roses and books, and it’s really beautiful :)
I chose to depict Saint George in the uni’s library, which is quite gorgeous, presumably after the killing of the dragon and after the blooming of the roses from the beast’s blood.
I may or may not spend a high percentage of the many many hours I spend in the library daydreaming instead of studying okay.
Let’s dress up Demetria Amell! I don’t know about you, but when I play Dragon Age I get the need to design tons of outfits to match the tons of headcanons I create in my mind. Specially with mages. I hate drawing armor!
My faves are the traveling gear, that I suppose she would wear during the Blight (dresses are not practical for walking & fighting), and the Magister garments - thanks to Hawke, the Amells would regain their nobility status and thus, when traveling to Tevinter, she would be able to gain the title of Magister.

Drawing this I had no idea of what I was doing but it’s been really fun, and I’ve learnt one or two things about thick black outlines. Yay!
Also, I’ve been following eschergirls for a while now and their tumblr is pure gold and an inspiration, so they have influenced this a little bit. I’m glad to be able to depict a heroine with a short skirt and a trendy coat and to have her retain both her femininity and power, without sexualizing her.
tomorrow i have a french oral exam, i get to choose the topic of the presentation. i decided to make it about enjolras and grantaire’s relationship.
basically i’m gonna fangirl all over the place in front of people who will have no other option but to listen to my rambling passion for 20 minutes.
